Katerina Cook

Occupational Therapist
“We genuinely care about creating positive outcomes for our clients. Our fearless and compassionate leader, Jeanne, sees our true potential and provides us with tools and support to reach our goals.”

Katerina Cook, or Kat as she is affectionately known, has extensive experience working with clients of varied demographics and complex medical conditions. She loves working with clients to promote independence and improve their quality of life within their home and community, regardless of ability. Kat is passionate about working alongside her clients on a personal level to help identify their goals, as well as develop and implement interventions and therapies that help them overcome barriers, so that they can participate in activities that are meaningful to them.

Kat has worked within the NDIS, My Aged Care (MAC) and DVA funding sectors providing therapy interventions, equipment prescriptions, environmental assessments and recommendations, as well as comprehensive functional capacity assessments. Her specialised areas of interest include working with adolescents and adults, assistive and adaptive equipment prescription and minor home modifications to assist her clients to stay in their homes for longer. She also has an interest in a broad range of complex disabilities including people with low or no vision and assisting adolescents with the skills and capacity to move from their home environment to live supported in independent living housing.

Working in a multidisciplinary health clinic in the capacity of a Remedial and Lymphoedema Therapist, Kat saw clients whose lives had been significantly improved due to the engagement of Occupational Therapists. As a result, Kat embarked on the journey of a mature aged university student to gain her qualifications as an Occupational Therapist. As she says, it was the best decision of her life!

Kat is a warm, caring and highly personable therapist who is delighted to be supporting clients in the Sunshine Coast region. She has a wealth of knowledge and is so generous in sharing this with the team.
